Home base of Hawai‘i's robotic firsts

This clinic is the home base of the surgeon who modernized Hawai‘i's joint replacement: Dr. Morton performed the state's first robotic-assisted total hip replacement in 2022, followed that October by the first Persona IQ® smart knee in the islands. Today it is the planning hub for the practice's flagship outpatient joint replacement program: robotic surgery in the morning, walking by afternoon, home for dinner.

Clinic and physical therapy — one building

Suite 2020 houses the Pacific Bone & Joint clinic — consultations, imaging review, injections and biologics, and pre- and post-operative visits — plus in-house physical therapy, so pre-hab before surgery and rehab after it happen steps from your surgeon's team with notes flowing directly between them.

Ideal for town residents and traveling patients

The Ala Moana location serves urban Honolulu, Waikīkī, and East O‘ahu — and it's the natural hub for fly-in patients, minutes from the hotels and short-term rentals most traveling patients book. Parking is available in the building's structure, and the flat surrounding neighborhood is genuinely good early-recovery walking territory.

Is surgery done at the Honolulu clinic?
No — Suite 2020 is the clinic: consultations, imaging review, injections, physical therapy, and pre- and post-operative visits. Surgery is performed at The Queen's Medical Center or Adventist Health Castle on O‘ahu, and at Hilo Community Surgery Center on Hawai‘i Island; qualified patients have robotic joint replacement and go home the same day.
Is physical therapy available on site?
Yes — in-house physical therapy operates at both the Honolulu and Kunia (West Oahu) clinics, covering pre-surgical strengthening and post-operative rehabilitation with your surgical team steps away.
Where do fly-in patients usually stay?
Most choose hotels or rentals in the Ala Moana–Waikīkī corridor, an easy ride (or eventually, walk) from the clinic. The care coordinator shares recovery-friendly suggestions when your surgery is scheduled.
Is parking available?
Yes — parking is available in the building structure, with accessible options near the elevators.
